Theme: N/A
Story must start with: I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Story must end with: I'll never eat seafood again.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I mean, my eyes had to be playing tricks on me, right? People just didn't to that! Right? I looked up at my mother, she was frowning, her eyebrows drawing close emphasizing the wrinkles on her forehead. The wrinkles she didn't appreciate me pointing out.
"I don't think I want to eat here." I could feel my lip start to quiver and the tears threatened to fall.
My mother scooped me up and I realized quickly I was in for another one of her 'learning experiences.' She pointed to the man in dirty clothing, who had dirty hair, and I suspected smelt funny. "See that man?" My eyebrows drew together like mommy's did when she was concentrating. "He is not as lucky as we are, honey."
I looked to my mother and then to the man poking around in the dumpster beside the restaurant, and then back to my mother. At the age of six, I was no fool, I could see quite obviously that man must have broken a mirror or something to be that unlucky. Mommy and I had much better luck since I found a four leaf clover earlier that year.
"He is trying to survive, and uhk." My mother looked away and I looked to see what scared mother so. The man was eating a piece of fish from inside the big garbage container. Mother put me down and grabbed my hand leading me back to the car looking a little green. I swear I heard her mumble, "I'll never eat seafood again."
